Lojack, I have a total of two units, one in my 02 Seqouia and one in my 03
Accord EX.  You need to make sure your local law enforcement agency has the
equipment to detect the Lojack ping when activated.

When the vehicle is stolen and law enforcement is notified, the hidden
equipment transmits a ping every few seconds.  Those pings are detected in
specially equipped units, which consists of a receiver with direction
display.  The display resembles the tick marks on a clock with a single
bright line indicating direction and strength of signal.

Johnny Law uses two or more units to triangulate the ping.

So, if your local law doesn't have the equipment, Lojack is useless.

My car insurance gives me a deduction for the Lojack and a discount because
I garage my cars.  The install on Lojack in 2002 was $500, no monthly fee.
