[DeTomaso] Busted Big, but Reno anyway?

I'm wondering if by going with an oil specified for large displacement, low rpm engines one gives up any properties useful in a smaller, higher rpm engine. I know that oil in motorcycle engines needs to be able to deal with among other things excessive whipping and not all car oils work well there due to foaming.
