[DeTomaso] GREAT day at the track!!!

Hi guys,

Just a brief note from my room before heading down to the hospitality 
suite....

We had a GREAT day at the track!!!   Everyone agreed this is the best track 
we've ever run in all the years of holding this event.   The weather was 
perfect, there was only one or two harmless spins, no other incidents, and by 
3:30 in the afternoon, everybody was totally spent except for me and Randy 
Grubb in his CAV GT40.

I got in 140 miles on the track (and didn't start running until after 
lunch), and finally had to call it quits when my Euro T/A 305/50 tires finally 
started crying "Uncle" after a full 40 minutes of WFO running, and I started 
to suffer fuel starvation due to literally emptying the tank on the track. :>
)

Everybody is having a great time here; there are so many different things 
to do in the evenings.   Right now a bunch of people are Karting, others are 
at a comedy club.   Me?   I lost a header-to-collector bolt and got a big 
exhaust leak and a floppy tailpipe as a result, so after doing some 
parts-chasing to come up with a replacement Grade 8 bolt and gasket (I love Kragen!), 
I'm just going to chill in the hospitality suite, then do it all over again 
tomorrow.
