[DeTomaso] The End of the Affair...

Here on long island where I live they have mini car shows everynight of the
week. They are in different neighborhoods and are sponsored by different
groups that cater to different special interest groups kof C, The Rotary,
the Masons, Local Churches and community groups. I remember When I was 17
and built my first harley. I had very little in common with the old timers
with their 55 chevys but the one thing I did have in common was the love of
horspower. Instead of worying about differences Ilook at it ass an
opportunity to share what we do have in common, and maybe getting some young
knucklehead to appreciate what a "Real car is all about" When I was young I
loved exotics and was fortunate to live long Island that had a fair share of
exotics. You have to remember that most ot theses young tuners don't have
the money to pursue the joys of owning one of the cars we love. But by
planting the seeds and showing that we are really just older versions of
them we can build the bonds that allow our hobby to continue from on
generatio to the next. And kids spending their paycheck on their tuner are
not spending their money on drugs.
