[DeTomaso] Brake Rotors and Specifically Light Weight Carbon Ceramic Rotors

I talked to a tech guy at the Brembo North American distributer yesterday about rotors.  He said that you need rotors with sufficient thermal mass to stop the vehicle at least once form max speed, and that you need vented rotors for multiple stops.
 
I also asked him about light weight carbon ceramic rotors and thermal mass, and he said that you can't just put these on a car not engineered for them because so much heat is conducted into the calipers, spindles, bearings, suspension, etc.  He said people were trying to just replace their cast iron rotors with light carbon ceramic rotors, but it creates a bunch of problems.
