Things that may also cause slightly fouled plugs are worn rings that let 
too much oil up into one or two combustion chambers. On some engines, plugged 
up oil drainback ports in the 351C heads coupled with the OEM bad-joke oil 
"seals", oil can fill up the rocker covers and cascade down worn valve 
guides, causing the same thing. On short runs around town, this usually only 
causes dirty-looking plugs, but at high rpms or on a long hot run of several 
hundred miles, plug fouling can drop a cylinder. FWIW- J Deryke
