Dear Ian,

I checked with the Autolite Customer Service line. The R stands for Race application and, in my experience, a colder plug ill suited for street use. When used on the street they rather quickly foul.

Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

What is the diference between Autolite AF-42 and ARF-42 plugs? The ARF's are listed for Boss 351, and the AF's are for standard 351 C's.

I'm guessing, Ian (since I haven't called up Autolite's website), but the ARF-42s are likely resistor plugs while the others are not. The heat ranges etc should be the same for both. Best guess- J Deryke
