Heck, you don't even need to remove the distributor cap, or remove the carb 
from the intake manifold.   Just disconnect the plug wires and drape them 
out of the way, disconnect the throttle cable, vacuum hoses and fuel line 
from the carb, then unbolt the intake and lift the carb and intake away as a 
unit.

Ten minutes saved right there. :>)
