[DeTomaso] FW: weird situation with my car, need your help

If I Understand the chain of events correctly you left your car with the
"first mechanic" he farmed the work out to the "second mechanic"
. If this is correct your beef is with the first mechanic. You left the car
in his care and it is his responsibility. You should file a criminal
complaint against him  and file a civil action against him too.. A good
lawyer could place a lien against his business and his bank account . You
need to motivate him to solve this problem. It is his problem to locate the
missing guy and your car, not yours. ( Of course you want to find your car
but you have to remember shit rolls down hill. You have to put the mechanic
you left your car with at the bottom of the hill.) You know where he is and
you left your car in his care. File a criminal complaint against him! Also
Mechanics and businesses have to be licensed ( if they are legit.) You can
track down the other smuck through the states department of revenue. He pays
taxes and collects sales tax. The state can help you find him. You need to
get an attorney involved. they know how to get doors opened and information
like bank accounts ein # ss #'s etc. If The police are involved they can
find out allot in a few seconds. One clue would be wether or not  either of
these two jokers have a criminal record. It is unlikely a guy who has been
in business for years with no criminal record would suddenly turn into a
crook, but on the other hand if either of them are criminals it is a god bet
they are up to no good. Most car thieves don't steal cars that are so easy
to track and they normally would make a key and steal the car after they
give it back to you. Since it was in their care they are unlikely to just
try to steal it. It is more likely a case of two assholes who don't care
enough to take good care of their customers because they have nothing to
lose. You need to give them something to lose. Sue for loss of use. There
are allot of ways you can put financial pressure on the one guy and that's
usually the best way to get someones attention. You need to take off the kid
gloves at start raising some hell. I am not suggesting any physical action
on your part. You need to start kicking some legal ass.. Get your attorney
to freeze this assholes business account and slap him with a law suite for
$75,000.00 That should get his attention and let him know you are not
screwing around.
