[DeTomaso] Valve Stem Seals for ferrea f5040 valve / triple spring

I need to buy some valve stem seals. The valve stem diameter is 11/32 in. the outside 

diameter of the old seals is about 0.630 in. 

 

But what about the valve guide diameter? does this matter?  there are two different sizes at summit: 0.500 in. and 0.531 in.

These are designed for triple spring but as long as the other ones fit inside the spring I guess there are no reasons for buying these?

Summit writes: "Machine Work Required - Yes". What do they mean by this?
