Another thing to consider about the factory wings:

They do function aerodynamically, and produce measurable downforce at 
elevated speeds.   I've seen photos of European wings that literally split in 
half in the center, because at triple-digit speeds, airflow stressed them until 
they failed in the center.

Factory wings--just say no!
