Tire sizes are only an approximation.
The circumference and width can differ MARKEDLY between different tires, even in the same brand.

You can probably look up the actual circumferences or revs per mile at tirerack.com or the company website

Oh, that makes it easy to sort out. You have mismatched tires on the rear
of the car??????

You can't buy *one* new rear tire. Or else you wind up suffering symptoms
like, well....like you're suffering now! Even if was the same
brand/size/model of tire, it's likely that you would have had problems unless
the 'old'
tire was almost new. But given that you've got a totally different
brand/model (hopefully not size???) tire, well....duh. :>)

The good news is, you should easily be able to buy a second tire to match
the one you fitted on the way to Reno and have no problems, since that tire
*probably* won't have worn enough to make a difference.
