Art,
A significant thrust angle error would cause this problem. First I'd do a
thorough inspection for rear frame cracks or blown out a-arm bushings. But
if they check out OK, I'd call a competent frame shop and ask if they can
measure the thrust angle.

I did not align the car, I cheaped out! But as some of you know, the
car will be coming apart soon for a new engine/trans and engine bay
makeover.
