The gasses inside can get to 1200F.degrees under load; during dyno load
runs, the tubes visually glow medium-red or about 900F. degrees. So I'd do
anything possible to keep any wires as far away from the tubes as I could. I
wouldn't try to armor up the wires. Instead, note that Chevy small and
big-blocks route their wires in front of and UNDERNEATH the head to keep wires away
from the ports. Some of these on your Ford might take custom lengths, but
its still cheaper than what you're going thru now. Good luck- J Deryke
