In 1990 I was dignosed with colon cancer at the age of 22.  I had 12" of my 
large intestine removed and was in ICU for 3 days when the ODd me on 
Morphine and I coded.

I have AFLAC cancer insurance and needed an itemized billing to get a check 
for my cancer, hosptial stay and ICU.

I had full coverage because of employment and almost fell over when I saw 
the bill.  In 1990 my total bill not including 12 months of chemotherapy was 
drumroll please............$285,000.00  Yup almost $300Gs in 1990 dollars.

My health insurance for my wife and I costs nearly $800 a month under Blue 
Cross group coverage, I honestly know how people survive these days.
