[DeTomaso] no brake lights

hello all,
i do not have brake lights unless i push VERY hard on the brake pedal. is
this a partial failure of the switch (which i believe is located on a brass
valve body under the reservoir in the front trunk) or is it a problem of
fluid pressure to this particular location? any and all comments appreciated
(except from mad dawg)....
