[DeTomaso] Front caliper bolt size?

Bill,
 
    I need a socket head screw and found them at McMaster Carr, but they are 12.9 not 8.8 , it that OK?
 
    This is for a bracket to adapter Porsche calipers and there isn't room for a hex head.

Ken,
 
Just checked my '74 caliper mounting bolts (my front end is STILL apart).
 
12 x 1.25 x 35mm grade 8.8
 
8.8 is the standard automotive grade ..... the same as SAE 5.
 
The grade 10.9 bolts in the front end are used to mount the steering arm/caliper mount to the upright.
