[DeTomaso] Stuck cabin/def control

Sounds like the cable might be loose.  If the end of the cable armor  
is not captured properly at the opposite end, it will be hard to move  
and feel like it never goes to either extreme.  You might check to  
make sure it's properly held in place at both ends.
