[DeTomaso] Blue smoke

I have a non-forum friend with a Pantera problem.
The other day, as I was following him on the hiway, I noticed a puff of blue smoke coming out of 1 side as he was shifting (off throttle). No smoke when he was on the throttle.
Now, he's telling me that at idle there isn't much or any smoke at idle, but alot of smoke when he rev's the engine.
#4 plug is oil soaked.
Newer 427 windsor stroker, btw.
