[DeTomaso] Oil temp sending unit

Electrical sending units can fail their seal without affecting the gauge 
readings, so first, be very sure where the failure is- inside or outside the 
sending unit. If something is leaking thru the sender, replacement is your 
only cure. Some are rivited together and I've seen a fine strwa, of 
pressurized oil squirting out of the rivit. If its the outer threads, yes- use teflon 
pipe tape on the threads. The tape not only seals the space between sending 
unit and pan threads, it lubricates them so the parts screw together easier
