The rubber used as vibration isolators must be able to withstand at least 
250 degrees F. I ve seen several rubber hangers that- as AJ said- melt and/or 
turn to mush. I use blocks cut from a 3/4" thick sheet of 
silicon-reinforced EPDM rubber with stock metal hanger hardware. I don't specifically look 
for brass nuts; I use stainless nuts with anti-sieze, and I double-nut all
