Craftsman is fine. Ebay is good for these at lower cost. Sears also
offers large sets at a good price. Once you own them, they are YOURS
and you do not need a receipt for replacement. You can never have too
many hand tools. You can not work with just one set of wrenches, just
one set of sockets....etc, etc. You need regular depth sockets, deep
sockets, open end wrenches, combo wrenches, ratchet wrenches.
Luckily, for the Jeep project, you will not need to have metric tools.

Multi drawer tool chest.

"Clicker" torque wrench.

WD-40 and liquid wrench.

A glass bead blast cabinet, a compressor large enough to run it for
extended length, and glass bead media.

Dewalt 18volt cordless tools.

Good floor jack and four good jack stands.

Florescent trouble light.

Good ceiling lighting in your garage.

Large sheets of cardboard for lying on while working under car.

Work bench with vise.

Latex gloves, Mechanics brand gloves.

Gallon, pump dispenser jug of Orange pumice hand soap.

New dark towels that don't show stains (to keep She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed
from screaming how you have ruined all her good towels).

Shop rags.

Lacquer thinner and brushes for parts cleaning.

Bandages and Neosporin.

Patience.

High speed internet connection for research.

eBay I.D. for buying parts, tools, etc.

Money.

Time.

Understanding family.

And a zillion more things you won't have until you reach that point in
time when you say - "Damn, I need a ....!"

Good luck and have fun.

Larry
