That is what it is all about, fast and easy. A nut up under the roof is hard
to reach
and will probaly be dropped once in a while. Here we have a handle to grip,
tilt it
back and pull it out. The stop is made by a little cut in the car metal that
is allready
there, bend it back and thats it! For a steel hood it dosent matter to much
since it
is to heavy to lift of alone, but in my case I lift the hood every week when
working
with the engine, and put it on the top of the car.

That came up a few years ago and someone got some Stainless Steel(Rustfritt
Stahl) 6mm X 90mm socket head cap screws with nylok nuts. Your pin looks
like it would be much faster and easier to put in and remove.

We where talking about the rear hood hinger a week ago. The thing was how to

lock up the hinger tap not to come out the hole making the hood airborne.
I have figure out a wery easy solution here, that makes it VERY easy to
remove
the pin while still keeping it in a secure location while driving.
