There is a reason for all this:

Jabba The Hut is sitting on us all and he's got us all convinced that  
his farts are our own.

If we all got together we could easily push him off but it's so warm  
and cozy here, we don't really care about the stink.  We are all used  
to it by now.

Lord save us.  This part of the story will not end well.  But hey, at  
least the story will go on.
