[DeTomaso] vendor expansion tank ports

Lee, very likely NO aftermarket rad-tank(s) will be identical in size to the 
OEMs, since they all seem to include their own custom bracketry. Racing 
radiator or power steering reservoir tanks in lightweight polish-able aluminum 
usually have threaded dash-8 AN fittings (1/2"ID) welded to the sides & bottom, and 
also have their own bracketry, making them adaptions as well. 
Suggestion, if the Hall tank is otherwise what you want, is to take it to a 
welder and have proper-sized hose bibs welded or brazed on. Or look for a good 
stock OEM tank from 1972-'73 which were nickel-plated inside and out for rust 
resistence, then sprayed with flat-black paint at the factory. A few minutes 
spent with a Scotch-brite pad shines the stockers right up. Dunno if OEM 
replacement tanks are plated any more, though. FWIW- J DeRyke
