Ah, you are talking about the old e-mail based forum (realbig.com).

Yeah, Mad Dog's email client does not put newlines (line breaks) at the
end of each line when he sends an e-mail.  When you read his posts in
your e-mail reader, your e-mail reader adds those newlines for you.  The
archive, on the other hand, does not add in those missing newlines.
That is a limitation of the Mailman software that the e-mail-based forum
uses.

The is no real fix for this that I know of, however if you go directly
to the archive, it is a little easier to scroll horizontally.

I use IE 7 with or without service pack 3. 
It also happens with Firefox most recent versions.
