If you're using a web browser to view your e-mail as opposed to a stand-alone 
e-mail program, this can be a problem.   Noodle around and find the 
'preferences' page; somewhere there should be 'text wrap', which you should set to 
something reasonable like 80 characters per line.

I used to have the same problem with an old Hotmail account until I manually 
tweaked it.
