I have autocrossed for many years and if the
tires are not fresh then you might as well not
go to the event... Most race tires or dot race
tires, even high performance tires are soft when
first purchased... some companies will not stock
that many as fresh is better for racing... when
they get old they become what we call STONES!!!

I have all my tires Heat Cycled now and it is mostly
so they last longer... you don't cook them so bad
the first time out and ruin them

Any race tire over two years old are junk as far as
I am concerned... autocross compounds are even
worse... I would say one year old to be competative

No shoe polish on my side walls..... like our last Indinan friend

Shocks,
I bought Byers setup I believe 550/750 and asked him what
I should set compression and rebound... He stated- try it
first then give him a call... The car was dead on for the track
and not bad for the street... still a lot softer then my autocross
Firebird.

Bobby Byers is a class act... Hope his recovery is smooth
