[DeTomaso] Shock recomendations

Ian,

On the Aldan shocks (and others?) when you adjust ride height you don't change the min and max length of the shock, you compress the spring to raise the car, but ultimately the ride height is limited by the design of the shock.  The Aldan 755 has a length range of 11.5 to 15.4 inches, I don't think you can change that.  My guess is that at 11.5 the car may be rubbing on the ground?  But with real springs, and more so with high rate springs, you may never ger close to min length unless you really pound that car.

Has anyone studied this?  Seems like some missing Pantera data?

Ken

Is the ride hieght of the Aldans adjustable to be the same as stock hieght
(w/o spacers)? 15.4" seems a bit short too me. I think I remember the
Konis being 16 or 16.5" before I pulled the springs. I really can't
go too
low because the roads are pretty bad around these parts at times. Also, I
am running stock 8 & 10" Campy's, if that makes a difference.

Ian
