Our original engine did exactly that. After building up a spare 351-C and a 
complete tear-down of the OEM, what I found was minimal wear and annealed 
rings- probably from repeated overheating by the 2 former owners. All the old girl 
needed was a ball-hone shoved thru each cylinder and a new set of rings- and 
an aftermarket radiator. So clean it up & keep it around for a spare; 351-Cs
