Not true.   Look at the Euro sales brocure.   The GTS was the top-of-the-line 
specification, but plenty of people bought the Euro Pantera L, which was 
nominally identical to the USA-spec Pantera except for the front bumper 
configuration, i.e. it didn't have all the goodies (aluminum intake, Holley 
double-pumper, GTS exhaust, uprated interior, etc. etc.) of the Euro GTS.   I do believe 
the GTS was more popular however, and thus they are more likely to be 
encountered.   But I know plenty of people who have Euro L Panteras as well.

One, in fact, was sold by Claude Dubois in Belgium, later exported to 
Connecticut, and then sold from there back to England?   So it certainly got 
around....
