No problem at all....check out photo's of my lowered Pantera with 18" Wilkinson Campy clones. I run them on the street, track and ORR competition and have run them up to 180+ Mph with no problems.

Yup, a few people are running 18-inch wheels on the back of their Panteras.
The vendors offer them as an extra-cost option. There's a lot more metal in
an 18-inch wheel!
