[DeTomaso] ZF oil capacity

Something to note: The ZF is 'right-side' up in the Mangusta. When used in the
Pantera it was flipped-over.

The side fill/level hole is not in the middle (top-to-bottom). So in the Mangusta the
hole is farther up, and thus the case would hold more fluid before it comes out the
hole.

So... I suggest people add a bit more fluid. If you jack up the back of the car
or use a steep driveway... you will be able to add more than 3.5 quarts, say 4 quarts
or so before it spills out the hole.

Chuck

The ZF manual says 3.5 liters which is a tad (admittedly small) more than 3.5 quarts.
>From filling my dash-1 trans my experience is that filling to the lower edge of the
side mounted plug gives you a smaller amount of oil than 3.5 liters. There's an access
cover on the right hand side of the trans, p/n 129 in the ZF manual, where you would
be able to fill the trans with the recommended amount of fluid if you wanted to play
it safe.
