Next door neighbor to my parents, had their 16-17 year old boy burn
down their entire house by pouring gas down the carb of his hot-rod.
Timing was off most likely, backfired through the carb, fireball,
panic, no fire extinguishers. Oh yea, it was a disaster, and I don't
think the either had insurance or the insurance didn't pay (for
whatever reason). They moved and all that was left was a cracked
concrete foundation.
