[DeTomaso] Pantera sold on eBay

Michael,

I have used this a time or two. I tell the seller that I am a "Lt. on the
force" and would like on of my "local brothers in blue" to stop over and
check out the item.

MD has called me LT. Slacker so I am covered, most of you guys (my
brothers), are blue too. So I am covered there. It will spin your head how
fast some real good deals are no longer for sale after that story.

Everybody who placed bids will probably get emails from scammers pretending
to be the guy with the car IF there ever was a car. The answer is always
that you would love car and luckily you'll be in his town day after next on
business. You want to see it. Drive it and like Don henley you always carry
cash. Chances are it ends immediately

Hi Larry,

If the seller had a friend bid it up over my bid it would up my bid till it
got to my max bid. Then one more bid over mine. So it would look like I bid
my max bid.

<< I listed one item, but had additional.>>

Is it ok to use the 2nd chance for this?

Something not right on the scenario Larry (Cleveland) reported.

I have run auctions and sent out second chance offers to the runners up.

I listed one item, but had additional.

The offer that goes out is for the runner-up buyer's final bid, not the
final auction bid.

So if Larry's GT5 bid was for $2K less than final selling price,THAT $2K
lower bid should
have been the second chance price.

My direct experience has been for parts auctions, not vehicles, but I am not
aware of any difference in how
second chance system works.

Larry's second chance offer may have been more of a scam than first thought?

Larry
