Or, if you lack a 3/4" tap, cut the threads off of an 11/16" bolt so you
have a 3/4" dowel end to the bolt.
Fill the pilot bearing cavity with grease, insert the bolt into the pilot
bearing hole and whack the bolt head with a hammer.
Hydraulic pressure will pop the bushing right out.

is 0.007  smaller than an OEM pilot bearing and the  OD is 0.003 larger)

Pilot bearing removal: start threading a 3/4 inch tap into the  0.697 pilot
bearing hole, keep turning when the tap bottoms against the  crankshaft,
bearing out

OEM '74L (-2 ZF) pilot bearing measured:1.377 OD 0.580 Deep w/  0.679
(17.2466 mm) Hole thru to fit 0.669 (16.9926mm) transmission input shaft
