Interesting, but dental work aside, you can "bridge" the problem using the
standard saw blade, it's just way easier to do than all that, no use
reinventing the wheel, but "implanting" a sensor sounds like it would work
equally as well, it just requires a great deal of work to "extract" the
flywheel and to fabricate a pick up, but if that's how you want to do it,
you could put it all back together and use "cap" head nuts to dress up the
bell housing.  Then "Polish" the whole thing and put a "veneerr" of clear
coating on the old ZF too.
