One is a cold-weather multigrade which will crank at low temps and come
up to pressure reasonably quickly when cold.
At high temps it's viscosity won't make a loaded engine happy.

The other is a hi-temp multigrade which won't crank or flow at seriously
cold temps, but will maintain it's viscosity
into those nasty 250+ pan temperatures.
