'80s Koni shocks use the identical rubber bushings as stock Ariston or
Telecar shocks. But with stiff springs, ALL rubber shock bushings will pound out in
time- especially the lowers, and this allows the shock body to drop enough so
the oil-containing shock touches the a-arm mount tabs. Driving this way causes
squeeks and wear, and possible shock-body damage. Just another reason to NOT
use rubber bushings in the suspension. And all the vendors carry poly
bushings. FWIW- J Deryke
