[DeTomaso] Taurus Window Motors Source?

Dave:

Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it a lot.

The guy that's providing these motors tests them himself, operation, functionality, and torque output. They are supposed to generate 16 ft lbs of torque to meet factory specs. He also takes the gear box apart, greases things, and ensures that all the pieces are in the right place, and are in good condition. This is the guy who told me about the rear window motors versus front window motors, and "useful life".

And you are so right about testing BEFORE mounting them inside the door, buttoning up the upholstery, and all that.... Not that I'd do something like that.... how does that go... "been there, did that, got the tee shirt, starred in the movie"....

  Chris,

  You are living right!

What did you pay for the motors? How do they look?

Make sure you test BEFORE mounting. Do you know about cleaning the spring & then greasing?

Let me know if I can be of any help.

  AP:

Dave's supplier is -not- the same guy.... But I'll have you know that thinking good thoughts, with a positive, bright, happy outlook works... I got my window motors this morning. And Thomas should be getting his any time now.

You just have to live clean, have a pure heart, think good thoughts, and all will be right in your world....

(you also have to be able to write this drivel with a straight face too...)
