[DeTomaso] Oil temperature and wear

Sure, makes sense.  But it seems with this argument (and looking at the graph), the higher the oil w rating 15w50 vs 5w30, viscosity has slower breakdown. based on that argument, everyone should just use a thicker oil.  but where does that argument stop?  i'm putting 90w gear oil in my 10Q engine right now!  :-)
