Some of these questions are answered in an article on using an Oberg screen 
filter on street cars, in the Jan '10 POCA News. There are lots of factors 
to consider- one big one being actually cleaning the screen filters - filthy 
job- on a schedule. FWIW, military piston aircraft engines only use screen 
filters- a stack of 10 or 12- on those big low-rpm engines and they are 
cleaned every 50 hours of running. Cheers- J Deryke
