[DeTomaso] Pure Power Oil Filters High Performance Motor Oil

Just wondering what is in the oil that actually plugs up (uses up?) an oil filter?  I think that the older oils oxidized and produced gunk that the filters caught.  With modern synthetic oil, I wonder is the filters ever come close to being "used up"?  From many reports, bearing wear etc. is insignificant with a good synthetic oil.  It seems like the oxidation products of dino oil may have been abrasive to some extent and caused wear in the motor?
 
My question is if a healthy engine with synthetic oil has significantly different oil filter requirements than an older engine running dino oil?

Several of us on this list have been considering this, in fact I called them to see if we could get a quantity discount. At 2, he would only knock off some shipping but I bet we could move the needle a bit with 5 or more...

Obviously, they do have a pretty long payback period compared to a good quality disposable, but would definitely be worth it if it kept just one chunk out of your oil!

I saw a presentation from this company last year and made a note to  
consider this system, if and when I ever get my motor built. I have
