>>>On more than one occasion, I have been uncomfortably cold while driving
my Pantera, which has no A/C installed. That tells you that my efforts to
insulate the cabin from external heat sources have been successful!

I can't say what worked since I didn't perform my modifications in an
iterative fashion. While the car was apart, I did a bunch of stuff, and when it
came back together, It Was Good.

I have a reflective stainless steel firewall cover; in between the
stainless and the factory steel firewall is a layer of insulation, perhaps 3/8 inch
thick?

The inside of the firewall is covered with Dynamat; that doesn't do a whole
lot for insulation probably. But atop the dynamat is another layer of 3/8
insulation. I've also got 3/8 insulation lining the entire center of the
monocoque, from the front to the back of the cabin.

All these things combined mean that I get next to no heat transfer at all.
You can feel just a little bit of heat, at the bottom of the removable
center section of my upholstered back panel, where it joins the back of the
center console. But when you hold your hand against the flat portion of the
interior panel, it's barely warm.

There is some heat from the glass, but it's not too bad.

Mike
