I've not bothered with cruise control but I remember decades ago a few people trying to get them running on a Pantera. The fix for them was to glue or clamp two sets of magnets on a halfshaft since the halfshafts on a Pantera run at 1/4 the speed of a driveshaft for an ordinary front engined car. FWIW- J Deryke
