[DeTomaso] NPC-New Dodge Challenger

Gearheads,
I was thinking about a new car that might have investment potential and be fun to drive. I've been looking at the 2009 Challenger series offered in 3 different flavors.
The SE has the V-6, the R/T has the 375 hp 5.7L and the SRT8 has the 425hp 6.1L. They are rumored to be offering a 6.3L with 500hp in 2010.
With Fiat buying Chrysler I have heard rumors about these models possibly being dropped after 2010.
I like the styling of the Challenger over the new Camaro SS and the Mustangs just don't do it for me.
Does anybody have any driving time behind the wheel of one of these things or offer opinions in general?
