FYI, Garth Asked them what the material is, this was their response:

"These are made of grade 8 or higher steel."

Hi Brent-

I saw these in Kragen walking by because I needed some replacement lug
nuts and I grabbed a set of 5 cheap! (not paying much attention to the
apparent lightness of them) just to compare them with my lugs at home.

They are chromed aluminum! NO WAY I would ever use them.  Coefficient of
expansion different on your wheel stud and lug nut???  I have read that
some cars use OEM aluminum lug nuts but they are engineered not
aftermarket.

At the vendors, new lug nuts are $16 to $$$$ each depending on
originality. Can you have yours rechromed if they are not to bashed up?
