Will,
Not sure if you Drag Race as that I Do not do
I usually get the car rolling then shift to second
and then hammer the throttle with no clutch side
stepping to spin the wheels... then throttle back
to catch the asphalt again
It is easier on the clutch and tranny that way
Don't drop the clutch as it is not needed to spin the tires
even the Dot Road Race tires I run all the time
