[DeTomaso] Valve Stem seal and Keeper replacement

What's wrong with either

a) shimming to the desired height, or
b) cutting the spring pockets deeper?

If the heads are off, it should be easy for any machine shop, right?

Yes, as I wrote below the ones that fit the retainers don't fit the valves
and vice versa. I spent one afternoon at a speedshop with my head, spring
compressor and valves test fitting what they had in keepers and retainers
with negative results. I think the problem falls within valve manufacturer
territory but I have not been able to get help there. I find it strange that
I'm the only one who's failed to install Ferrea valves in a Cleveland with
1.8" installed spring height. It simply can't be done using what Ferrea call
"standard" keepers and retainers that fit the stock valves/keepers.
