Hmm... It is a large file, but it download OK for me. I'll e-mail a PDF
version of the file to you.

Has anyone had any luck downloading the non-condensed version of the
aerodynamics article. I can only down load the condensed article. It
keeps telling me the other file is corrupted. If you anyone has not
looked at it it shows very interesting illustrations of the airflow
around the car. I am interested in trying to work with the under the car
aerodynamics to try to limit lift and as a source for supplying cool air
for the intake. It was interesting to read that the BMW 540 ( a very
square looking car) (Square as in cube shaped not square as in not
cool) has a lower drag coefficient then the Pantera which looks so
streamlined! It just goes to show there is allot more to it then just
what you assume would be aerodynamically efficient!

That would be great if you can take some measurements in some controlled
experiments. There is more folklore about the front-end airflow than
real, hard data.

Andrzej (Andrew) Wortman is doing similar work on the flow and
turbulence around the rear deck lid (aka sugar scoop). You can see his
results to date here, http://www.poca.com/index.php/tech/50-aero (login
is required, but registration is free even for non-POCA members)

If anybody has a "worthless " cut steel hood that they are going to
dispose
of please let me know i will be happy to take them off your hands, I
will
even pay shipping. I will use them for my experiments in aerodynamics
and
studies of front lift and the effects of different hood vent
configurations
on front lift. This is only half a joke . I don't think a vented hood
is
worthless but I am experimenting with air flow and would like to do
more
research on under car aerodynamics for Panteras and answer the question
on
how hood vents effect front end lift at high speed. I don't have any
hoods
to experiment on so if anyone does really have a hood they no longer
want
and would like to contiribute to the cause I will take it and promise
not to
sell it. In fact I will return it when done.
